Tidal power is particularly promising in the Northeast, where the tidal range is great and wind and solar resources are scattered and modest for municipal-scale generation. It's time for us to generate our own clean energy, provide jobs and reduce our carbon footprint as a region. Furthermore, if we invest in tidal power, we can become pioneers of this nascent renewable energy sector. Let the sunbelt have solar and the midwest wind, tidal power is our power!
